Housekeeping Lead

Part Time
Loveland, CO

Performs all housekeeping and custodial duties as assigned.

Job Functions:

  • Work side by side with part time staff, contract staff, and independent contractors as required
  • Operate machinery as required including: Scrubbers, Buffers, Burnishers, Kyvac, vacuums, carpet extractors, and fork lift
  • Lead post and pre event cleaning
  • Trouble shoot and be able to make some repairs to janitorial equipment
  • Work closely with part-time employees and contract labor to ensure facility is properly maintained before during and after events
  • Follow building programs and guidelines
  • Follow safety requirements and environmental regulations
  • Continual checks of inventory of janitorial supplies
  • Lead part-timers and contract labor to ensure timely and quality work performances when on same shift
  • Report and fill out proper forms on safety hazards and accidents
  • Maintain a high spirit of morale throughout the department
  • Set an example of professionalism and courtesy within working environment
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Good oral and written communication skills in the English language
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible schedule consisting of nights and weekends
  • Knowledge in operation of janitorial equipment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid drivers license

Intellectual/Social Demands:
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits. Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including: following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. Employees in this role will constantly be in leadership role; this requires directing others either verbally or in writing to complete tasks in prescribed time frame. This position also requires constant use of interpersonal skills including: ability to direct/motivate/inform staff and foster collaboration, being able to recognize and resolve conflicts.

Physical Demands:
Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing and walking. Must be able to work safely in an environment containing caustic chemicals, cleaning materials, debris, dust, and trash.

Work environment:
The essential functions of this position are performed indoors and occasionally outdoors in the weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud during events and when equipment is running and minimal during non-events and when equipment is not running.
